Provincial Strategy Conference July 8, 2007

The Provincial Strategy Conference held on July 8th, 2007 brought student leaders from universities and colleges together to focus the Provincial Network and begin working collaboratively on climate change solutions for our campuses.
Objectives:
- to establish tangible mechanisms for collaboration
- to identify schools who would like to collaborate with a provincial network
- to learn what other schools are doing on climate change
- to provide opportunities for engagement with the common energy network
- to develop a framework for a 2007/2008 provincial climate change campaign
- to begin planning for an October Provincial Network Conference

Location: Vancouver, Room 210, SCARFE Building, 2125 Main Mall, UBC-V Campus (to be confirmed)
Food: Veggie lunch to be provided by Liz and Maggie - cost split between attendees, please inform of any dietary restrictions.
Billeting: up to 8 people can be accomodated at Maggie and Liz's house

Call for proposals on climate change campaign: Maggie - to send out Wednesday June 27th
- Note: reasonable travel costs (bus, ferry, gas money) for out-of-town participants will be shared by all conference attendees and is not be expected to be more than $30 each. The prepared lunch will be factored into this cost as well.

Do you have an idea for a great campaign that could unite campuses across BC in confronting the problems of the climate crisis? If so, submit a proposal! Clearly outline the goals of the campaign as well as how you envision student groups working together to achieve this goal. Proposals should be between 1-2 pages, and you should be prepared to give a short, informal presentation of your ideas at the conference.
